However, it is a spy thriller in the same way that Love Actually was a film about politics. Yes, LA was about the Prime Minister, but it was a love story. For me, Black Pigeons was a romantic buddy comedy with a spy theme that adds a little thrill. I love a good spy show and this was not it. It was a pretty good buddy romantic comedy though, so I recommend you give it a try. Keiran Knightley and Ben Whishaw have great chemistry as partners in crime. There are nice comedic turns from the various killers. The bloodshed is an over-the-top Tarantino type that’s fun but not exciting. Overall, wonderful, entertaining acting.
