Rangoon, Burma, 1917. Edward, a civil servant of the British Empire, runs away from his bride Molly on the day she arrives to get married. However, while traveling, panic is replaced by melancholy. Reflecting on the emptiness of his existence, the cowardly Edward wonders what happened to Molly. Decided to get married and have fun.
